**An Antibacterial Skin Protectant containing 0.5% Triclosan, which at this concentration, has been proven to not only kill nearly every common germ, but at this level it also has an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. As a result, the following may be said:

		For food handlers, the most significant problem is cross contamination. This cream kills even traces of fecal bacteria, so when food handlers fail to wash well with anti-bacterial soap and water, after having used the toilet, there is an anti-bacterial effect with the Barrier Cream, even if hands were rinsed only with water. Of course, when feces and other contaminants are left on hands, due to non-use of even water, it's still a contaminant as is any food borne bacteria not rinsed off. This is also a possible result when using gloves (if not rinsed).
		For bed sores, the Skin Protectant sets up 4 processes:
				Moisturizing Action
				Antibacterial Action
				Water-proofing the Skin (from urine, etc.)
				Anti-inflammatory

DIRECTIONS: Clean and dry skin area for application. Apply thoroughly, taking care to cover all areas, such as the fingernails. Let dry for 2-3 minutes and the skin is protected and waterproof. The cream's protected formula will allow the skin to breathe all the time while it protects.

BARRIER EXPLANATION

The following is the concept of how this barrier cream works; while not scientifically proven, the information is scientifically accurate.

Silicone exists in nature as silicone dioxide. Liquid silicone (Dimethicone) is the Mono-oxide of silicone. The latter, when exposed to heat - body temperature - and oxygen in the air, recombines back to the dioxide form. Incorporating a specific antioxidant into our "premier" moisturizing formula with Aloe Vera. Jojoba and other oils interrupts this process for up to four (4) hours. Repeated washing has no effect on this reaction, however, substances containing an available oxygen molecule (peroxide, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.) will donate additional oxygen and convert the silicone to the dioxide form. It still offers protection, but reapplication is required.

The property of silicone is that it remains in its molecular shape on the skin's surface, while the moisturizer is absorbed and the silicone forms a micro layer on the skin - but still in its molecular form. When direct pressure, greater than 15 PSI (normal air pressure) is applied to the silicone layer, as when it comes in contact with any liquid, the molecules flatten to form a thin sheet-like film/layer. When there is no such contact the silicone returns to its molecular form allowing the skin to breathe. After four (4) or more hours, the Dimethicone oil, still in its oxide form (as a result of the antioxidant action) starts to recombine with oxygen in the air, it reverts to Micro-granules of silicone dioxide.

It is best to apply the Skin Barrier Cream at least every four hours. Though it is quite probable that the protection will remain in place for longer periods of time, the protective barrier will respond differently to each individual. How long the product will remain effective is dependent upon a number of factors, including individual metabolism rate and skin friction related to specific activities. Time and experience with your particular situation is the best determining factor.

This product can be used in conjunction with gloves to offer a secondary line of defense against substances that can be harmful or of a reasonable degree of high risk. While providing superior performance and protection, this product is not recommended to replace gloves or other conventional protection.

It WILL NOT protect the skin from Hydrofluoric Acid. In addition, it should not be used as any type of contraceptive or sexual protection.
